Travel Inspiration Blog

Whenever I travel anywhere, I love looking around to see how different materials and plants are being used to create or shape gardens and landscapes. I’ve decided therefore to use this as the basis of my blog and will select out items that I find interesting enough to capture and write about. Some items will be quite short and others a bit more in depth where I’ve decided to add a bit of research.

So here is a selection of things I’ve snapped. Sometimes gardens or plants, sometimes street landscaping or sometimes just an intervention in the natural landscape.

Carpobrotus edulis (sour fig) is native to South Africa, seen here colonising the sand dunes at Zambujeira do mar, Alentejo, Portugal
