Planting Plan
The kitchen doors open up to a courtyard with steps up to a sloping garden. The courtyard and steps were repaved and a new fence added
on both sides of the garden. As the clients
were keen to get rid of the lawn, we created a fairly natural garden with some timber raised beds filled with plants
that are beneficial to insects. A small area at the end was designated for future use either as a seating area or to
grow some vegetables. Cedar posts are used as a barrier at the top of the
retaining wall to the courtyard and double up as cat steps.
