The clients of this garden in Acton were keen to have a patio and cooking area at the end of the garden to catch the evening sun. We added a raised bed across the back boundary, to deal with the slight change in slope and to create a perch for sitting on. A bespoke pergola made of oak beams, gives privacy and there is space for a Grillo outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and pizza oven. The paving is a mix of Jura grey limestone flag stones and limestone stackers. We installed a shed on the shady side to free up the back corner, and added planting along the sides. A lawn was retained for their young family to play and includes space for a trampoline. Circular raised beds were added to grow a few seasonal vegetables.
